- Counseling Services - Counseling services for Medi-Cal eligible students are available by contacting the Family Center.
- Basic Need Support - The Family Center has a listing of resources available to assist families with food banks, and other basic needs help. The Family Center may also be able to assist you with emergency food supplies from our small pantry on site. Go to the Health section of our website for more resources and services available.
- The “Grab Bag” - A used clothing store is available for families. Infant,
children’s, men’s and women’s clothing is available. We will also have interview outfits available. Donations of gently used, smoke free clothing are welcome!
- Clothing Closet - A small clothing closet is also maintained in the Family Center for use by Yucca Loma students. If you have gently used, smoke free clothing that you would like to donate for this clothing closet, bring it to the Family Center.
- Operation School Bell - In partnership with the Assistance League of the Victor Valley, students are able to be placed on a list for inclusion in Operation School Bell, a clothing program designed to help families in need of clothing for elementary aged children in the Victor Valley.
- Lower Your Utility Bills!! - Free Program - For low income families needing help. If you own or rent, you may qualify to receive weatherization services for FREE!! Qualifying for this program depends on household annual income and number of people in the home.
The Family Center is a hub of information for programs and services taking place, not only around the Yucca Loma School area, but also in other parts of our community. You can also check out the Town of Apple Valley website at www.applevalley.org for more local town happenings and information.
Additionally, dialing 2-1-1 on your phone can give you information and referrals for health and social services in the surrounding area and www.highdesertonline.com provides information on a variety of other resources in the High Desert. Also, www.laopinion.com/weconnect has many resources and programs available for California’s working families.
