resource: each other. Community organizing helps people overcome cultural and economic barriers to civic participation by linking them to deeply held values around children, families, and community.

Leadership training – Neighborhood Leadership Academy – critical to the success of any community improvement effort is the effective leadership of key residents who can guide neighbors in community wide decision making.
A newly formed Neighborhood Leadership Academy, part of the Vista Loma Neighborhood Network, is up and running and you are invited to participate! Monthly meetings are held in english and spanish. Presentation topics are: activating the leader in you; asset building, presentation skills, town hall 101, managing conflict and personality styles; neighborhood
