- Language Tutoring - English as a Second Language is available every Tuesday & Thursday from 8 :45-10:45am, Room 22. Rosetta Stone software for learning English and Spanish is also available in the Family Center. Parents may come in at their convenience and use the software to develop their language skills. This program provides guidance to make your language learning effective, fast, and enjoyable. Try it out in the Family Center.
- Love & Logic Parenting Class - for interested Yucca Loma parents. Classes are forming now for January 2009. Sign up today for this great class!
- Job Training Classes - Work Readiness classes are held each Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Family Center.
- Basic Computer Skills - The 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, the Family Center hosts Basic Computer training classes from 10am-11am. Come learn things like setting up an email, navigating the internet and more!
- Use of Computers - If you’d like to brush up on your typing skills, need to research info for a job, type a paper for a class or do other types of research, you are welcome to use the bank of computers available in the Family Center during the school day.
- Community Based Mentoring for Children - Volunteer mentors work with students at Yucca Loma to help them academically and socially. If you’d like to become a mentor, click on the Mentoring link above. To have your child included in our program, contact the Family Center to be put on the waiting list.
